The Glory of God is..... not just 'intelligence'

We often quote the scripture in D&C 93:36 "The glory of God is intelligence..." and we stop there.  We use that verse to stress the importance of getting an 'education'.  But, if we are to continue forth with the meaning it says 'or in other words light and truth'.

 

So...the glory of God, we can say, is light and truth!

 

Therefore, in our quest for learning and knowledge we are to seek not only for 'intelligence' (as we often think about it) but LIGHT and TRUTH!  There is much to learn but not all of it is of light and truth.

 

I've given this matter much thought.  It helps me dicipher between what is of worldly value and what is of more important eternal value!

 

Joseph Smith reminded us 'not all truth is of equal value'.
