I tried to post this as a thread but someone apparently thought I was violating site rules. I have seen quite a number of other threads that are similar, i.e. the Fairness Doctrine thread that weren't shut down so I am left scratching my head as to why mine was singled out. I got no message that it was being yanked. Just mysteriously vanished like it never existed. Spooky. Kinda reminds me a little of 1984. Anyway what I wanted to share was an email I received so I will share that and let the rest lie.
Yesterday on my way to lunch at Doe's, I passed one of the homeless guys in
that area, with a sign that read "Vote for ****, I need the money."
Once in Doe's my waiter had on an "**** 08" tee shirt.
When the bill came, I decided not to tip the waiter and explained to him
while he had given me exceptional service, that his tee shirt made me feel
he obviously believes in ****'s plan to re-distribute the wealth.
I told him I was going to re-distribute his tip to someone that I deemed
more in need--the homeless guy outside. He stood there in disbelief and
angrily stormed away.
I went outside, gave the homeless guy $3 and told him to thank the waiter
inside, as I had decided he could use the money more. The homeless guy
looked at me in disbelief but seemed grateful.
As I got in my truck, I realized this rather unscientific re-distribution
experiment had left the homeless guy quite happy for the money he did not
earn, but the waiter was ticked that I gave away the money he did earn.
Well, I guess this re-distribution of wealth is going to take a while to
catch on, at least with those doing the work.
PS if you (moderator that yank said thread) plan to delete this please have the courage to message me and explain why. Notice I removed any politician references.
