His Father Believed Joseph

My mother told me that her grandfather had said this to her when she was a child.  As for me, I know without a doubt that Joseph Smith saw what he said he saw and that he is the great prophet of this the Last Dispensation of the Fullness of Times. â€”Gar

  
My mother's grandfather was asked why he believed that Joseph Smith saw what he said he saw. He got a serious look on his face and replied, "I believe that Joseph Smith saw what he said he saw and didn't make up the story of the First Vision, because when he told his father what had happened his father believed him." His parents stood behind Joseph and supported him to the end. Parents have a way of knowing if their children are telling the truth or not.
