We Seek After These Things

You get to work and survey the damage that has been done throughout the store earlier in the day. Clothes are scattered throughout the store. You wonder how people can be so disrespectful.

Fidelity in marriage is going down. Movies are getting more violent and provocative. Though these things are all true, why should I focus on them?

I think of the words of the 13th Article of Faith:


“If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things.â€


There’s a lot of negativity in the world, but I choose to focus on the good. Let us “seek after these [positive] things.â€
