"It is not enough to know that God lives, that Jesus Christ is our
Savior, and that the gospel is true. We must take the high road by acting
upon that knowledge." Elder Dallon H. Oaks

"The Lord works from the inside out. The world works from the outside in. The world would take people out of the slums. Christ takes the slums out of people, and then they take themselves out of the slums. The world would mold men by changing their environment. Christ changes men, who then change their environment. The world would shape human behavior, but Christ can change human nature."
--Ezra Taft Benson, "Born of God", Ensign, July 1989, 2

I read your comments on the now closed thread "debate".  Your experience in high school debate was different than mine.  What I learned is if you cannot take a subject from ether the "Affirmative" or the "Negative" point of view and think you can win the debate - you do not understand question nor do you have an informed point of view.

I believe that what you really have problem with is arguing rather than debating.  To me arguing is an attitude of stating opinion regardless of the facts.

BTW my partner and I won the “Weber” debate meet by recognizing that our opponents points (needs for change) were all correct – it was their plan to meet those needs that was flawed.  We were able to be successful because we understood their arguments and plans better than they did.  Often in a discussion one of the first things I attempt to discover is if someone understands the problem better than I do.  The only way I know how to discover their understanding is to take the opposite point of view to see how they deal with it.

Hello my Brother!

I hope you come on and see this. Because it's your happy happy happy birthday!

I was working on a card this morning, then fell asleep and just got up! I hate that.

I love you, and hope you had a wonderful day.
