hmmmmm.....................good question!!

I have recently closed a very huge and significant chapter in my life. A part of me wonders IF it was the right decission...only time will tell.
My husband and I have been unable to conceive and it has been the most difficult trial of our lives. We became inactive....its hard to be the ONLY childless couple in the entire ward! The hurt became too much and we simply stopped attending. We are working our way back because we know it is where we need to be. Before you say....'why don't you JUST adopt?' that is entirely a different/painful story. For now it is sufficient to say that I simply need to get to a better...a happier place then where I am.

Infertility has controlled every aspect of my life.I can not let that continue.

I have been blessed to have a wonderful, honest, kind, loving man to whom I call my husband. He is my anchor, he is my compass, he is my Balm of Gilead.....he is my safe harbor from this hectic and sometimes cruel world.

Wow, I really drew strenght from your comment thread. I spent 18 years in a childless marriage, Since we had both been married before, we pretty much knew children were not in our future. I was blessed with a son from my first wife, however. Perhaps, there was an under-current of resentment on my part and I grossly under-valued by companion. Its easy to get judgmental about how and why God lets some couples conceive and denies the blessing to others. I myself just have to find other arenas of life to contribute in since parenthood has been such a fleeting experience.  God bless you both in your righteous desires!

Hi! Just saw your comment in my thread and wanted to stop by. I read your "about me" and just want to give you virtual hugs and support! You are a very strong and brave person! And it's wonderful that you have such a great husband too.

Thanks for stopping by, saying hi, and for re-affirming the importance of a faithful and faith-full husband.  Too often men are made to feel like third-wheels in society...so it's reassuring to see our gender is still valued by some.  PC
