I always thought that, but the last time I read through this, I wondered: Why not just use "Lamanite women", or "Nephite women".
It just seems that there is a different origin to this woman or group of women than either Lamanite or Nephite.
Maybe this woman was raised as a Lamanite but was from elsewhere.
Maybe, I trying to read something into it that's not there?
