My mother hates certain words (like the word "fart"). So, I make sure to try my hardest to never use that word around her.
Personally, I think it is silly that she hates that word...but becasue I love her and respect her, I do my best to not use it around her.
Still, I do get a little miffed when I am told by the world at large that I have to say something a certain way. Why? Just because the
world says so?
I respect individuals, not the world. If an individual were to ask me to refrain from something inparticular, I would. But my issue is when "the world" starts telling what to do. I guess that is just an issue that I have...among MANY other issues!!
