Have you ever heard of Checyna and Grozny? I thought it was common knowledge, but I guess not. I suggest you take a look at those locations in the region.

The latest episode began with the artillery shelling of Georgian villages by South Ossettian separatists. Georgian troops entered South Ossetia to deal with the attacks. Russia used that as a pretext for an invasion of South Ossetia. They just happened to have soliders, tanks, and ships already in position before the shelling started so they could respond very quickly to the Georgian incursion.

Again, it's popular to be anti-American and anti-war these days, but don't let either of those two conditions keep you from seeing the truth.
