Some members view it as pressure, however others view it as virtuous, clean/pure, and obediant. Some members view it as restrictive, others view it as the "ways of the world" and evil therefore something to avoid. I.E. Pornography, sex, etc. .

When one view is trying to be obediant to Gods teachings and commandments in order to be blessed, have joy and happiness versus being disobediant, rebel, and be miserable and unhappy, then it isn't viewed as pressure at all.

Kona0197 views are not all that uncommon. I felt that same way at one time in my life. I later however realized that this did not bring me the happiness and joy I was seeking.

I had a prospective member tell me last week that he could not join the church because he couldn't possible "Fast" if it was a requirement. He just couldn't go without food for 2 consecutive meals.

The purpose of this life is to make choices.
