Russia attacking Georgia could very well be the beginnings of what we read about in Ezekiel 38 and 39 about Gog (leader of a great army attacking from the north) and Magog. Russia (Magog) is directly north of Israel, right? Georgia just happens to be in the way. I still need to do some digging.
