To help me understand your position are you saying the Christ had not yet ascend to heaven when He visited Thomas who many know as doubting Thomas. That was 8 days after He told His apostles "Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you."(New Testament | John 20:21) Do you think he did not ascend to His Father at that point and was somehow bound here on earth until He as Luke said in his last chapter that he was carried up into heaven?

You must understand that many on this board, myself included, like to see references not a blanket statement saying that the Savior is not supposed to return until the world ends. Where in the scriptures does it say this. Also you must understand that people interpret what the Bible says in many different ways, hence the many denominations.

As for those of the LDS faith we believe in living prophets, and we believe the Lord Jesus Christ leads the Church and can frankly visit whenever He feels it is necessary. I would not be so bold as to put restrictions on what the Son of God and Savior of the World can and cannot do.
