True, and it's even more complicated than that. For instance, the article I linked to deals with a prophesy in the Hadith dealing with the destruction of the Jews. Now that makes things complicated. Surfing around Islamic sites I am left witht he question as to who they believe will destroy the Jews and how many will perish. I guess some interpret it to mean that in the latter days the Muslims would have to destroy the Jews in order for Jesus to return. Then there's the more moderate idea that when Jesus returns that before he kills the anti-Christ he will destroy the anti-Christ's Jewish army. Then I had a Muslim woman explain to me an even more liberal veiw that in the end only non-believing Jews would be destroyed.
This leaves me with a few other questions. Islam believes that in the latter days Muslims and Christains will unite and destroy all non-believers. At some point then Jesus returns and smashes a cross and demands conformity to Islam. Half the Christain armies convert and the other half rebels. Of course they are defeated, Jesus marries and lives out His mortal existence, dies and is buried next to Mohammed.
Yes, a bit confusing. I am left to wonder what interpretation Hamas follows since Rosenbaum seems to promote the idea that Hamas believes in the total extermination of Jews (which goes way beyond what Hitler promoted -- as the author states -- and one thing the author didn't point out as well is there were Jews serving in high levels of Hitler's government and in his military). Doubt Hamas has any Jewish members.
