great post bytor. I guess we would all love for the bishop to say "You're forgiven" so that we can make a fresh start wtihout ever looking back... Some things stay with us, there are some things that we cannot just fix, that we cannot go through all the steps because it is impossible to make restitution, these are the times where we learn that we are all forever in debt to our Savior, ..... know that we are eternally in debt, and it is a hard thing to accept, relying on the Savior instead of relying on ourself. It really is what keeps us humble, and thankful, and where we understand the kind of love that the Savior has for us - that we did not "earn" anything etc... that he just loves us... we are taught by the world that love is only given to those who deserve it, so we keep trying to deserve it, earn our salvation, fix everything, only we cannot.... and then we start understanding what 100% selfless love is.... it takes everyone back a bit when you start figuring out what it really means, forever after gives you a different feeling about everything.
