So I was traveling to the Salt Lake International Airport today to pick up my fiance. I was traveling about 4 mph above the speed limit (

) in the second right inside lane of a 4 lane freeway, no one at all in the 2 lanes to my left (the lanes we in Idaho refer to as '
the fast lanes'), when I noticed a few cars coming behind me at great speed. They seemed insistent on staying in my lane so I signaled to go to the outside right lane. I was about 1/2 way in when the people behind me, without signaling, moved into the lane I was almost into and proceeded to try to run into my bumper. All this while the 2 left lanes were
completely empty. I assumed they were idiots so I went back to the second lane and went my merry way. Then it happened again. And again. I finally took refuge behind a big semi, figuring if someone was gonna push me out they'd have to take him out too. By the time I got to the airport I was totally frazzled and I've decided to never drive to Utah again.
Is this common driving practice for Utah drivers? Is it a state law that you pass on the right? Because if you tried that here you'd get a ticket, fair warning
