About a year ago (right about the time my daughter was turning 3) we were teaching politeness, and she had to ask "May I have a drink please?" etc. She got in the habit of running it into one one big word: Mayihavea __ please?"
One night I was sitting at the computer and she came up and said "May-I-have-a-sit-in-lap-please?" I didn't understand her at first, with a toddler lisp and all, but it was very cute.
