I was wondering if anyone has some ideas how to get information prior to obtaining a death certificate. Here is the situation. I lost track of my brother over 20 years ago. I found something on Ancester.com that indicates it could be my brother. A couple of things are off. His day of birth. Should be Nov 3, but shows Nov 11. Middle name is Marshall, but shows Michael. But other information is correct. Possible reason for discrepencies is that there is no other living relitive, so if something happend to my brother, someone could have guessed at it. Hope this make sense, but is there some way to find out for sure if it's him without ordering death certificate?

Thanks
John
