About the BofM site, I don't know. I think it would be very good for kids. I think it lacks some important and insightful subtleties. For instance;

Hi, this is Tim the author.

I appreciate your analytical nature. I'm sure it is useful in many areas of study. My intent was to deal with the intent of the ancient messengers of truth, to make them understood more easily. After working on the project full time for two years one thing was absolutely burned into my mind....the fact that truth is fiercely independent of words. This is why the Book of Mormon has been so successfully translated from English into 140 languages and counting. In many languages, such as Swahili, for example, the only qualified translator was not even LDS. Yet the spirit of the book comes through because the message is true, not because the translation was perfect.

Likewise, my intention was to bring to light what is difficult for so many people today. Most adults struggle with Isaiah, with Jacob chapter 5, and with compound sentences that seem to divert themselves midstream. Those poor guys back then had no word processing. They admitted that engraving the plates was hard. It was not even done in their speaking language. They say, "please don't condemn this book because of our mistakes."

The Book of Mormon is indeed the most correct book on earth......doctrinally, not grammatically. 4,000 grammatical changes were made from the first edition to the next edition in 1837. Yes, truth is indeed independent of words. The messages and testimonies of Christ are timeless and transcend all cultures and languages.

My work has helped thousands of people, old and young alike. I am happy to serve the Lord with my endeavor. It's simply a result of being anxiously engaged in a good cause, not being commanded in all things.

Tim
