They SHOULD just go on with their merry lives believing that their saved, but instead they attack our beliefs... not out of Christian love to save our souls, but to prove us wrong and prove themselves right. I find this most odd, perhaps pride... fear, I know not. Thoughts? Especially from those of you who have visted such sites recently. Thanks.
I haven't visited such sites, but will give you my two cents worth anyway.... I am LDS and have talked to some "Anti" or "Ex-Mo's" myself, and a couple of them have told me that they DO want to save my soul. They are upset with the fact that I believe something so horrible that I will be sent to eternal damnation. And that it is THEIR responsibility to try to keep me from losing my soul. Pride? I don't think so...fear? for some reason they are convinced that I am not going to pass judgement and burn in hell for being LDS and saying that I have Jesus Christ as my savior. I guess that they figure they will be held responsibile if they don't try to convince me to leave the church and follow the "right path" to heaven. I do believe that it is out of pure love of others to "try" to turn me around to "see the light". Of course it could all be a bunch of horse pucky, and there might be another reason why they said the things they did....but it felt like honest concern for my spiritual well being.
