Default Moving to Macon, GA?

So I may be going to graduate school at Mercer Univ in Macon, GA. Does anyone know anything about the area, what areas are best to live in, etc? Any help would be great.
Thanks!

I live about an hour and a half>two hours from Macon. I do not know a lot about the area...but the nicer parts of town are North and East Macon. South and West Macon are the more run-down areas. Macon has a lot of events and festivals, etc., going on regularly. We (family) go to the Macon Mall a couple of times a year. It is the best large shopping mall around us. The Atlanta Temple is not that far from there. On all our Youth Temple Trips, they always want to stop at the Macon Mall to eat and do a bit of shopping on our trip back home.
Sorry I could not give you more detailed information. I will ask around and see if I can find out more specific details for you...
