I will be having both a temple marriage and a "regular" marriage when the time comes. My immediate family are the only memebers of the church and my siblings are inactive so none of my family would be able to see my wedding besides my parents. So I plan to go to the temple FIRST! then later have a cermony of the vows and ring exchange. That way my family and friends and his as well can see!

yeah, you have to wait a year unless the law requires that you be married civily first.

and, you can exchange rings at your reception, you're not supposed to exchange vows, but you can do rings after the tmeple ceremony in the temple, or at your reception.
