So, seeing as how college is comin up pretty soon round here... I'm really lookin for a lot of input. I want to be prepared for after high school and am willing to work hard to get there, and definately want to get into a top of the line college. What I'm looking for is either, a college that focusses extremely on music, or has a very good music program along with academics. I'm planning on either Majoring in Music, or double majoring in Music and Business. If you guys know any good colleges could you let me know what they are??

You want a business degree? Ha! Business degrees are for jocks who realize that their ability to play sports don't mean a thing in real life so they go get a business degree (read: business math, the lowest ever, slightly above remedial, or maybe just a synonym)
If you want to go to a good college, you need to be rich. Go talk to an army/marine/navy/etc. recruiter and sign up for the forces. Serve 2-4 years (it's good for you, you learn how to think while stressed, that's why they always yell at you and bust your balls). After that they usually give some type of help for paying for college, mostly paying for all of it. That's why college is so expensive, is because all the army guys get to go for free. I hear the United States Marine Corps has a good music program.

Man, you give terrible advice. I am not a jock, and can't play sports worth a darn. Next, I shouldn't need to be RICH, I plan on attaining scholarships to help pay for school, and there are also some schools that will pay for all costs regardless (generally the school hardest to get into) Second of all, I will never join the forces! I'm not an army person. I am an aspiring composer/musical artist, not a jungle commando!

How many other kids are trying to get the same scholorship you're trying to get? What are you chances of getting that scholorship? What makes you better than the other kids who are also worthy of that scholorship?
Now think if you went into the military what your chances are of getting into that college with everything payed. I'm pretty sure it's somewhere around 100%. Plus you can learn a lot about yourself and learn discipline, courage, and confidence in the military.

there are so many more scholarships out there than what people realize... people don't need to "compete" for them..... and chances of getting into the military aren't 100%..... many can't get past boot camp... and others can't pass certain medical requirements to even get to boot camp.

*sigh* chances are I'll just end up going to BYU anyways. Kinda wanted to go out of state to a high scale music college, but... guess that's a long shot.

Have you thought about Peabody Conservatory of Music in Baltimore, MD.? That is a very good music school. It is just for music, though.

I wouldn't count too much on getting into BYU either. It's extremely competitive and difficult to get in these days.

Trying going to Junior College for 2 years to take care of general ed requirements and then transfer into wherever you need to go. It's easier to transfer in, rather than go straight in from high school. And BYU is pretty crowded. It is so crowded that you are forced to take a semester off if you take 2 semesters in a row.
