Hi

Recently I have started feeling faint when praying, or singing - and actually collapsed at a recent service? Am I possessed by an evil spirit? Any suggestions?

I noticed that your religious preference is undefined, and you do not mention what type of service you are in. So, as a general answer, from a Pentecostal perspective, I'm curious: How do you feel, besides faint? Are you encouraged, and have a sense that God is drawing you in, wooing you? Or, do you feel forboding? In the second case, the place you are still might be okay, but you are resisting. Do you need to repent, and reconcile with God? Maybe the inner struggle is wearing on you? Lots of possiblities here.

You are not likely demonized, unless you've been trafficing in occult activities, New Age type activities, ouija boards, fortune telling, or the saying of mantras, etc.

I'd recommend going to get a check-up with your M.D. first

Are you locking your knees? Do you have diabetes?

It's pretty unlikely you've got an evil spirit. Id get a physical first.

Sounds like you need to go to a cardiologist. Sooner than later.

Hi!
I would ask yourself these questions:

1-Are you eating (most likely not)? -Sometimes we don't eat on sunday and this will cause you to be light headed. You won't really notice or feel anything until you close your eyes.

2-What is your calling? Sometimes we run on empty, ate and need more time. We expect ourselves to keep going -no time to stop and eat now!

3--Are you trying to do your very best? Believe it or not this was my problem when singing I finally realized that not being a very good singer I was trying my very best to sing pretty, loud and on key. It was hopeless and yes I was exhausted by the time the song was over. (now I am a happy, off key, not too loud singer, this is much better for me but not for who I sit by. LOL)

4-Is this just happening? Could be your coming down with something. ie flu, cold season is changing and brings this on.

If not one or all of these I would also suggest you see your doctor. Our bodies have a way of telling us things if we listen to them.

If you are serious...
Also just a thought.......But stress and singing and working out make some asthma patients who are already out of breath feel and do the same things...see your doctor if it runs in your family.
If your not ! Eat a bowl of popcorn and a two liter of rootbeer and call me in the morning, I'd like to hear part 2.
