Just in case any of you missed this reply from Clark14, here's the link to his new thread: Help Appreciated!

http://www.ldstalk.com/forums/index.php?sh...t=0&#entry97579

I'd just like to add a few more words of comfort and empathy to those given to Clark14 already. I tried to O/D back in 2002, was lucky to survive and then almost died later that year from a bleed to my brain caused, in part, by drinking too much alcohol whilst I was on blood thinning tablets...

I didn't appreciate surviving the OD at first, but I do now that I've started to come through the bleakness that was enveloping me at the time. I have had my medication altered from time to time, when extra stresses have made me have suicidal thoughts and negative thoughts/beliefs again. I've also started to find Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and attending workshops with others who have felt/experienced the same as I have, extremely helpful. Attending these workshops/arts and craft classes mainly, but in a non-classroom setting where the 'students' can meet after class and mix, eat lunch and play pool or other games together as well as just chat or have relaxation therapy has helped me a great deal over the last month or so, to come out of my home, in which I am virtually a hermit, and to value myself again.

Once again, I say Good Luck to you Clark14 whichever stage of your journey you are at...think about your needs and value yourself as a person who deserves happiness, then seek it!!
