Default Should I shave my legs?

This probably comes across as kind of a humorous and/or odd question. But! I eagerly await the opinions of people, since I seem to be a black sheep when it comes to this.

Random factoid about me #1: I'm a 19-year-old young woman who simply does not like to shave her legs.

I don't show them off, of course--every pair of pants I own is long (the only pair of shorts I have are the required gym shorts that I wore to P.E. in the tenth grade, which I no longer have any use for), and the skirts that I wear to church are ankle-long as well. I do not go out in public blatantly donning my fuzzy appendages, I assure you!

I've been asked why I don't shave my legs. It's not as though I'm trying to make a statement ("Power to women, blargh! We can have hairy legs, too!" I don't do that.), and it's not as though I find bodily hair attractive (that's on a case-by-case basis ). It's simply, in all reality, because I just plain don't like to take the time to do so.

So, I guess my question for you folks is this: Is it a 'bad' thing that I don't shave my legs, considering that not many people see 'em besides myself? Should I make it a habit to rid myself of my well-loved winter insulation, or is it okay to look like a werewolf in mid-transformation?

You may now commence facepalming.

Shaving legs is a cultural norm. It's not required. I know many women who don't bother with shaving their legs.

No, it's not bad, but a lot of men (and women) will find it repulsive. If you don't mind the social consequences of hairy legs, there is certainly nothing immoral about it.

Interestingly, on my mission, our mission president (now a Seventy) explicitly instructed the sisters to keep their legs shaved. I found this especially interesting given that we were in Italy. In such a case, I think it does become a moral imperative to shave one's legs, if only to be obedient. But that is a very special case and doesn't apply to you.

I don't shave my legs either... I use an epilator and a hair inhibiting lotion and I only need to do it once a month... Sometimes even longer.

I honestly don't care one way or the other.

The reason I don't care, is that I found my woman, who does shave her legs, and married her, and now I am married, so what young women do with their legs is no longer any concern of mine.

I don't think I would have married my wife if she didn't shave her legs.

No shaving in winter time at all here. In summer, I don knee-length skirts and go without pantyhose (gasp!), so I shave below the knee. That's it. It's only hair, people.

<sarcasm> Yes, every woman should shave her legs, period. This way when a spouse touches your legs they feel like they are actually touching a woman's legs rather than petting their dog or cat. </sarcasm>

I'm from a fairly unique town in California. While the common disregard for social norms leads to many problems, I really like that I can not shave my legs and no one cares.

once the pressure from other people is off of you, you realize it really doesn't matter. Now, since those around you do care, that should be in consideration, I suppose. If I don't shave for a few months my husband really doesn't care or notice. the most noticeable is two days after I shave because it's prickly.

you're not flaunting it, and you don't care about it, sounds dumb to shave in those circumstances to me.

I find it terribly uncomfortable to have hairy legs. Especially nylons/tights/certain pants. Hairs get pulled.

Personal preference. Some people find hairy legs unattractive. Then again, maybe some people find shaved legs unattractive.

I used to get really annoyed with shaving. Then I got an electric shaver.
