Default Good female biographies?

Wondering what some good biographies are out there...
particularly looking for books about LDS females (is there any specifically on Sheri Dew, or Julie Beck?) Probably don't want to go too far back to the 1800's =)
Or even any other great non LDS females.
Would love to read about how many of these courageous women have overcome hardships in their lives.

Love to hear suggestions! Thanks.

I realize you don't want to go back to the 1800s, but, by far, the best LDS biography is that of Emma Smith.

It is called "Mormon Enigma: Emma Hale Smith." Courage defines Emma, and the Church would probably not exist without her.
