Default Terry Pratchett

So I guess some of us here are Terry Pratchett fans.

What's your favorite book written by him?

My answer is Mort, Small Gods, and Good Omens.

They are all good. Every one of them.

Has anyone read his book set in Australia?

The Light Fantastic, Mort, Men at Arms, Nightwatch, The Amazing Maurice and the Educated Rodents...they're all good value.

I haven't read Making Money yet...

He is in the early stages of alzheimers. Below is an article on my favourite unrepentant atheist:

I create gods all the time - now I think one might exist | Mail Online

It's interesting reading because of his frankness. He talks about asking as a kid what the opposite of a miracle was. The answer received, 'an act of God'. Oh dear. But so much to think about whenever he says something.

I'm supposed to pick ONE?? Ha ha ha. It's been a while so I don't know. But I like whenever he and his wife finally got together. And anything with Carrot in it -- I have a huge crush.

arg! what a horrible disease for anyone to have. and to have us lose future terry pratchett books makes it ..... arg.

one thing about his books is you can go back and read them over and over and still laugh each time.

i am dreading having to tell my kids. we will miss your writing, terry pratchett.

Having gotten into Pratchett only in the last two years or so and being a prolific reader I've read my way through the lot. I rather enjoy his quirky way of viewing the world through different lenses.

His speech to the Alzheimer's Society: Terry Pratchett's Alzheimer's Speech in Full

Wha Hae (Feegle battlecry).

I just love the Hogfather and Wyrd Sister - the immortal line offered by Magrat 'anyone would think we were old hags in green blusher' is my favourite in any book
