Darnton is a George Polk and Pulitzer Prize winning journalist and the book was a Book-of-the-Month Club main selection so I was hopeful. The book is set in modern day and the ominous print on the cover says "Their Time Has Come." You don't need a summary to guess the main plot line.

The book is interesting, has some decent research into archeology and anthropology, is easy to read, has a few very mild racy scenes and is a acceptable read.
