I flew through the series and just picked up two maroon book prequels but haven't read them yet.

I was surprised how quickly I could read 12 books. I couldn't put them down. I'm now reading the one sequel and I guess I'll have to find the prequels just so I have read the ENTIRE set.

I've read them all. They are kind of fun...
It's like an action/adventure book...
"We need to get to the detonator and stop it from exploding and destroying the city!" Ned said, "But before we attack with our sub atom ak47 rifles and kill people...let us pray."
It's like Dirk Pitt by Clive Cussler mixed with moments of prayer.

I'm reading the sequel right now. I have to say it lacks anything that the 12 book series had that held my attention. I'm rather bored with it. I could have just read the 12 books and been happy.

That is what i thought when i heard about the prequels, reading the whole series gives you a pretty good understanding as to what the back story could be, so i didnt bother reading the prequels. i really enjoyed reading the left behind series but after seeing the movie i couldnt get quirk Cameron's face outta my head every time i read about buck.

Nothing compares to Dirk Pitt. Clive Cussler is the man.

One of my favorite series of books is the "Out of the Ashes" series. Post apocalyptic writings.

There was a movie based on this series? What was it called?

Who wrote that series and is it similar to The Left Behind series?
