Seems the French press let the cat out of the bag prematurely. But good news, nonetheless.

As mentioned in the article MichaelPAGuy linked to, they've been looking for a temple site for well over a decade. I remember hearing about this back then and being excited, but later disappointed that it hadn't yet come to fruition. I served my mission in France, and would be delighted to see a temple built there. And so close to Versailles, too!

If you have love towards temples and old Churches then must visit France and Italy where you may see the world's ancient Church and the religious places. The both can only be found in these territories.

Although the majority of French people are displeased about that (you know, fear of the unknown etc), It's a very good news for french mormons.

Um, France and Italy are not the "only" places old churches may be found. That said, I do really love the beautiful old churches, cathedrals, and basilicas I saw in France. Gorgeous buildings, and they can really evoke a sense of the sacred.

Peace.
