I haven't heard much about membership response to Elder Ballard's encouragement of members to participate in online discusstions. I have found many blogs, but I would like to invite LDS.net members to share what they have done or what they have found.

If you have started commenting and communicating about the Church online, share your experiences.

If you have started a website or a blog, tell us about it.

What are some challenges you have found?

--Thanks

I've been engaged in online apologetics in a serious way for about 10 years now.

I've had tremendous experiences where honest people listen to the honest approach of "just ask GOD". They find, many times to their surprise, that it works!

Most LDS Critics online have a vested interest in their criticism (money, influence, etc.) and have no interest in honest dialogue. So in those situations, you have to be patient and realize you're not going to change them, but you can influence those who are following the discussions.

Frankly, I'm surprised the Church hasn't started a good solid online discussion effort...

I think Heather has been encouraging posting testimonies and other such outreach efforts.

The Mormon Church is frequently discussed over at freerepublic.com. In the religious discussions lots of articles dealing with the Church are posted and commented on and in the political section the topic comes up as well.
