How were we to know? Why didn't our church leaders ever urge us to get out of debt?

Oh, wait...

Ohhh....

Some homes in California are being offered at a "buy one get one free" deal. Wow! Maybe they should wait until they get desperate enough to offer a second house for free. That way when someone runs out of gas on the highway because they can't afford to fill up their tanks, they would very likely be within walking distance of one of their houses!

My wife and I got rid of all our credit cards about six years ago, so the only debt we have is the mortgage on our home. We drive okay cars that work and for which we paid cash. We seem to get by just fine on checks and the debit card. Just another example of paying attention to what the prophets have said about such things.

And the funny part is, even without the credit cards we still pretty much seem to have everything we need and many of the things we want...weird, huh?
