Did the American Government really lie?
The other day I went to the gym so I could maintain my "I'm too sexy for my shirt look," when I overhead a party of four lament about the evils of the American Government and the wicked and incompadent Bush administration. They went on to voice that the Bush administration should be brought up on charges for crimes against humanity for the evils inflicted on the Iraqi people. They went on to say that the American Government lied to the American people about there ever being Weapons of Mass Destruction in Iraq, and that the hole thing was so that we could get our hands on oil.
Now I wanted to put my arm to the square and call down fire from heaven for having such a disrespectful attitude about our amazing President that has done so much for the American people. But I have found that this kind of thinking has permeated through out the entire world. I began to question, that maybe I was just a simpleton for believing that President Bush did an OK job. I would say that in some things, the good President has fumbled the ball, like border security and drilling for oil, but I think that as far as Iraq and Afghanistan, he was pretty much right on.
I mean, one of the qualifying issues of if the Iraqi war was valid was if there were weapons of mass destruction when we arrived and did we find them. The answer was no. But then again, if the Police Department went to a known drug dealer and posted a note that said, in 3 weeks we are going to come and search your house, and if we find any drugs, we will arrest you and put you away for life, wouldn't you think that the dealer would be smart enough to remove all of his drugs and paraphernalia. The same was true with entering Iraq. There was Lot's of notice given. Lot's of Senate subcommittee meetings. Lot's of preparing.
One of Saddam's generals even admitted when he defected that they loaded up the weapons of mass destruction and sent them over to Syria. He even gave dates and methodes. I thought the truth was already out, and yet years after, the liberal media is still staying that the America Government lied. Another fact, didn't Saddam use Chemical weapons on his own people in Halabja, March 16, 1988. If I was to paste and clip an article from the Internet, the article read-
Saddam Hussein is the first world leader in modern times to have brutally used chemical weapons against his own people. His goals were to systematically terrorize and exterminate the Kurdish population in northern Iraq, to silence his critics, and to test the effectiveness of his chemical and biological weapons. Hussein launched chemical attacks against 40 Kurdish villages and thousands of innocent civilians in 1987-88, using them as testing grounds. The worst of these attacks devastated the city of Halabja on March 16, 1988.
The question is, did he use every last drop on his own people and there just wasn't anymore, or did he have barrels and barrels of it, but he just loaded it all up on planes for future use.
Or is it just me and the rest of the world is right? What do you think?

People watch CNN for 15 min a day and they feel qualified to bid for Condie Rice's job. I have always believed that in our country we have no sense of historicity and a very short span when it comes to social memory.
We are safe (at least we feel that way), we are affluent, idealistic entropic and distant from the world at large, ignorant of very recent historical facts and naive. It makes for a very dangerous cocktail.

it doesnt matter who we have in office. they will never please everyone.
we just have to pick the person we feel is best. once that is done that we wait and see what happens. as for me, when after i vote, i look to the gospel. i do have a feeling something is going to happen soon in the next couple years.
just remember, the media will only put on what it wants you to believe. count all the horrible things you see on the news then count all the good things you see, not only that but look at the timed differences. the horrible things totally out weight the good in number and in time. the second coming is close. very close.
also clinton knew about osama. he didnt do anything about it, im not saying he had to go to war, but he just let it go.
just remember, no matter who is president or in the cabinet, the Lord is in control.
be unique and vote mickey mouse and donald duck like 1% of the US Population.

Perhaps that fire can circumvent the facts. Tell that foursome they should listen to the Colbert Report. What we need to redeem this situation is some truthiness.

We're never going to know all the facts about what went on over there. Intelligence reports are kept classified for a reason. However, I am acquainted with a young man who has worked in intelligence on some of the lowest levels (he collects intelligence from operatives in the field). He told me that there was there was ample justificatin for war.
That being said, the way this war has been handled has been frighteningly incompetent. Ever since the capture of Hussein it's felt like American involvement in Iraq has been influenced by public opinion. No one is being helped by this now.
As for disrespecting our 'wonderful president,' I think wonderful is a long stretch. Bush's presidency has proven two things to me: 1) Anyone in this country can rise to be president, and 2) not everyone is suited to be president. I'm very much looking forward for a change come January.

It will take time for people to realize just how good of a President George Bush was. He has done some things I don't agree with that are way to Democrat/Lib like for me, such as immigration, bloating the gov't, etc. But he has put processes in place to keep us safe from further attack. And for those that think that that is not true, you don't have a clue.
We have a brother that has taken a job in DC that I have had the opportunity to speak with. He works in national security, particularly keeping us safe from Ishmael's children that wish us harm via the internet. He went to DC thinking that everyone is corrupt, everyone is in it for themself. He told me that that is not the case. There are many, many good people fighting a battle behind the scenes we never will know about (even though the Libs and their ilk want feel it is the right to tell everything to anyone, the consequences be damned) that is keeping us safe. IT IS NO ACCIDENT THAT WE HAVE NOT HAD ANOTHER ATTACK HERE, TRY AS THEY MIGHT.
And that willl carry over to the next administration, no matter who it is. Unless of course, Jimmy Carter Jr gets in and takes everything apart as part of his 'hope' tour. Then Katy bar the door.
Also, the 'Clinton Lied, but No One Died' line is tired. Yes, people did. Seems we killed quite a few people when lobbing bombs to keep the semen stain off of the front page. And 9/11 IS Clinton's fault.
