Having problems working out how to convert 119.5 p (pence) per litre is 1.195 pounds..current UK price of petrol. I'm getting $2.45 a litre...
ah you mean they are currently paying over $8 a gallon as opposed to $6.73....
=okay a lot more painful. I didn't release the mining boom and the subsequent higher dollar was shielding us so much. Guess there might be a whiplash effect when both of them go down.
Listener I drove 24 hours ONE WAY to visit family who lived in the same state..four times a year. I was out in the sticks at the time. It's going to be very isolating....where I lived it was a 6 hour drive to a supermarket, chemist, pizza *sigh*, cinema or hairdresser (it had a corner store, medical, petrol, school ...basics). You needed a car...to carry the shopping home and supplies for until you can next leave town...and my car was packed to overflowing every trip. Glad I'm back in a city. A scenario of $20.20 a gallon is going to hurt.
