Mapping the Earth's Core
A picture is worth. . . .
The result of a collaboration between 100 organizations spanning over 70 countries, OneGeology marks the first international effort to strip the Earth to its core to unveil its underlying geological features. The series of maps available on the website allows users to identify the different types of rocks by color.  Ain't it cool? Elphaba

It looks very cool, but I'm not entirely clear on what it shows. Is it a relief map of the earth, including what is underwater?

Utah seems to be cut off in this map. I was wondering if the color might be different. Perhaps a lime green or red with cottage cheese chunks....
