Propaganda? News media being manipulated by the oil industry telling us what is and isn't good for us?

If I could afford it, I would have a couple of donkeys, and a small buggy. I would use that exclusivly to get to and from work and to do my shopping. Here where I live I could probably get away with it.

I so agree - - -

Why don't Mormons live in communities like the Amish? I have often thought of starting a community (for lack of a better word) where like-minded, and religious-tolerant peoples lived in a self sustained community.

It wouldn't be restricted to just LDS- but it would be restricted to No Smoking-No drinking alcohol-No illegal drugs, etc.

If anyone knows of such a community/place/group - let me know. I would dearly love to live there.

I would find great comfort knowing that my neighbors surrounding me would never be meth addicts/dealers/makers; gang bangers; drug lords.

We could all pitch in and grow our own food, raise our own meat, weave/knit our own clothes or just sew our own. Be as self sufficient as possible.

Are we paying an extra tithing amount per gallon of gas here in Utah?
