Ugh...don't even talk to me about the taxes the Provincial Governments put on petrol here in Canada.
Example: The Husky station down the street sells petrol at around 85 cents/litre.
I live about ten or fifteen minutes from the border, and right across there are two petrol stations that specifically market to Canadians...the price there? 39 cents/litre.
20 dollars only filled half of my tank...20 dollars state side? Almost filled the whole thing.
There are so many people in town going to the states for petrol that when crossing back into Canada the conversation with the guards goes something like this:
Guard: (Doesn't even bother to ask if I live in Canada) Bringing anything back into Canada?
Me: Nothin but gas.
Guard: Have a good day.

Was reading an article earlier today that was talking about $25 a barrel oil. I believe it.
Another was talking about how OPEC had lowered prices to defeat alternative fuel sources. Once they are put on the back burner then prices will go back up. Not to far fetched to believe.

Right now the Russians are looking for hard currency in exchange for 10.00 dollar per barrel of Siberian Crude. It will be hard for them if the Russian keep this up.
