I know for sure that it is the second. A total of 4.2 million barrels per day, counting the cut in October of 2 million barrels.

One of the problems is OPEC can say what it wants and how much it will cut but there are a lot of non OPEC countries that pick up the slack because they need the money. Saudi Arabia, a member of OPEC does not always stay withing their limits of production either. So nice that they pick a number but do not hold to it.

Oil producing countries need the oil income and bottom line they are not willing to cut off income for the benefit or higher, maybe, prices.

A vast disappointed with greedy individuals. As I drove past a gas station this morning, it shows 1.61 and then another one at 1.73. People just don't get it; IT IS OVER. Consumer had enough of cheap individuals swallowing in greed.

It won't last since last night the barrel fell below 40.00.

Ben, as I was stating earlier, the prices are reflected on what is now only two days old and not monthly futures. Sad to think, how are the poor making it right now.

As I believe it is time for rate reduction concerning Californian state energy. Time to push some buttons.

Hemi, wouldn't the poor be finding it easier to "make it" with current gas and natural gas prices now than they were at $4 plus gas prices?

Some of the other things that go in to a cost for a gallon of gas at the pump are:

Cost for fuel based on quantity sold

Cost for land and building of station, newer station has higher cost.

Area of town. Older area of town often has cheaper gas due to lower cost for site.

Employee benefits or cost.

National advertising cost.

Those are just a few of the things.

Does the military base sell gas or does someone lease the land from base and sell there? I was on the military base in San Diego, there was a McDonalds on the base. I bet that someone was leasing the land for the McDonalds.

MWR or the military does the fuel. The rest is nothing more than lease with portion of the profit to the base,

So not only does the leasee have to pay part of their profits to the base but they must make a profit too. Seems like that is a reason to be higher than the station across the street that doesn't have to pay the base.
