Here is some classic quotes from the article...

"However, he admitted they must consider the state's limited dollars when dealing with a case such as Wagner's."

But President Obama said this wouldn't happen with his plan. And you can trust him. You just have to be quite while he is cleaning.

So... Wait... Just so I can understand what your argument is:

Your argument is, 'Under Obama's healthcare plan, these sorts of drugs wouldn't be covered!'

And they're covered now?

You do realize nobody is saying you can't get additional coverage. She would be in no worse a situation being denied coverage under Obama's healthcare plan than she would be if she were denied coverage under a major HMO health plan.

Protending for a minute, that you are right and the HMO wouldn't cover it, why go with Obama care?

Many years ago I worked for a construction company that did work for both public and government housing. When we bid a government job, we first bid it like we were building for the public and then took that number and times-ed it by four. On some of these jobs we lost money.

So is that what you think is a good idea, turning over health care too the same government that gives the army a recipe for chocolate chip cookies.......wait for it.............wait for it.........wait for it................twenty six pages long. Now doesn't that taste good?

The real question is were is the federal government going to get more people who can say that when you get a letter stating that you can't get the drugs you need to prolong your life but we will help you shorten your life, tell you that you didn't read what you just read, and still pretend to be compassionate and not bust out laughing. Hey maybe that could be you.

The rest of your stuff isn't really an argument against health care. It's more 'The people who sent that letter were jerks', which is fine.

Let's say the HMO would cover it:

Great. Because the universal health care can be supplemented. She could just as easily have had a major HMO. This does not prevent private insurance.

I think the issue here is, "what's the point of government-run health care if people who need life sustaining treatment still won't get it--and may feasibly in the long run be encouraged to terminate their own lives once we have a presidential administration that is unable to ignore mathematical reality."

I usually agree with you but I believe that librals can ignore mathematical reality as long as they need too. And then they can blame Bush when the money runs out.
