Because the universal health care can be supplemented. She could just as easily have had a major HMO. This does not prevent private insurance.

I think the issue here is, "what's the point of government-run health care if people who need life sustaining treatment still won't get it--and may feasibly in the long run be encouraged to terminate their own lives once we have a presidential administration that is unable to ignore mathematical reality."
