Funny, so did Senator Orin Hatch. Is this mere coincidence?

It always saddens me all the negativity that is brought out over someone's death.

How would the media know whether a person has an eternal weight of glory or not?

It is silly to chastise the media for doing its job. Of course it's going to cover the deaths of famous people, especially someone like Kennedy who is known all around the world.

It doesn't really matter if the person has an eternal weight of glory or not--if s/he is famous, the media is goinng to cover it. For example, when the Church's prophet/president passes away, the national media covers that.

On the other hand, tne media is not going to cover the deaths of people no one has ever heard of, regardless of their eternal glory. To expect otherwise is naive.

If you want to celebrate the death of such a person, you might look to the Church-run media, whose audience is interested in people's eternal glory. I could even see you offering your insight about how important eternal glory is, and what it means to the person who has passed on. You'd be good at that.

I have alot of Ted Kennedy jokes and over the last several months I did not use them because of his health being poor. Sorry to hear he passed on....I won't use the jokes anymore....not to worry there is always Biden. There are just as many jokes about him....

Teddy joins girlfriend

I wonder if the spirits of Mary Jo Kopechne and the hundreds of thousands of unborn children he supported killing will shed any tears at his passing.

It was done even while he was living. There is nothing good with this family or any person who caused more problems for others than to seek to do good without cost and honor from the world.

What bothers me more is the people that riled against you when you were alive have all these nice things to say about you when you die. That's the height of hypocrisy.

Good gosh..I'm not asking for anyone to be hypocritical and name all the good things so anything bad is forgotten..but man..the guy died and died from brain cancer. If you didn't like him then why not just refrain from saying anything?

I don't remember learning that any one of us will be his judge for the eternities. Let those without sin cast the first stones.

Senator Kennedy was a well known lush and womanizer and had a highly publicized accident that likely would have landed most normal folks in prison. But his last name was Kennedy.....

That being said, by many accounts he had a warm heart, genuinely cared for the causes he championed and connected well with average Americans and he was also a very gifted politician. I wish his family peace and comfort during there time of loss and I hope he is peacefully reunited with the God that gave him life.

You know, I bet Reverend Fred Phelps is wondering the same thing.
