Default Senator Edward M. Kennedy dies at 77

Quote:
Senator Edward M. Kennedy, who carried aloft the torch of a Massachusetts dynasty and championed a liberal ideology during almost a half century in the Senate, but whose personal and political failings may have prevented him from realizing the ultimate prize of the presidency, died Tuesday night at his home in Hyannis Port. He was 77 and had been battling brain cancer.

Not a surprise, but sad nonetheless. The Dems lost a political lion last night.

Considering he died from a brain tumor I can see that. My great-uncle who had one did a lot of funny things before he died.

It saddens me when I see so much 'hoopla' with today's media, when someone who has no eternal weight of glory is shown and idolized. But when a eternal righteous man or woman dies, the world ignores it. So it will be for them, when they come knocking on the Celestial door...
