Say what you will about Palin's influence, but she appears to be the primary reason that Scozzafava just dropped out of the NY-23 race. If this triggers a conservative resurgence within the Republican party in 2010, we'll probably have to look back at Palin as the one who got the ball rolling--for better or for worse.
