Default For once a feel good story in the news

SANTAQUIN -- A group of boys learned early in life that simple acts of service can bring a lot of joy. Instead of watching TV or playing sports after school, these boys spend their spare time making a homebound 4-year-old smile.

I always love it when the news is BAD!! Because I think that is the barometer of civilization. Let me explain.

"News" is news because it is DIFFERENT than what happens every day. So, if all we hear is BAD "news" - then that means the MINORITY of the events happening in our time are BAD!!!

If, on the other hand, the "News" is good news - I am sad, because that means no more good is being done and so someone doing something GOOD is "news" and IT is written about.

For me - lay your bad news on me!!!!! I skip over them, I don't dwell on them - but I revel in the fact that Satan is still not in control of the majority!!

Not me. I like the good feeling kind of stories. It reaffirms my faith that there is still good in the world and I like hearing about it. Especially when it's coming from children who have so much to offer and are learning that they do as well.

I LOVE good TRUE stories, don't get me wrong! Those I want to read about on the internet, in magazines, etc.

The BAD 'news' is for newspapers.
