Default July 10, 2012 - Book of Mormon

We do not have to prove that the Book of Mormon is true. The book is its own proof. All we need to do is read it and declare it! The Book of Mormon is not on trial—the people of the world, including the members of the Church, are on trial as to what they will do with this second witness for Christ.

Ezra Taft Benson

I believe this is as profound as anything I have heard on the subject. Very concise, too. "Proving" the Book of Mormon by evidence is not useful. Like the existence of God himself, the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon is sort of an anti-scientific question: It is verifiable but not falsifiable.
