Default Kimlin family

I am wondering if anyone had the surname in their family history it seems such a rare name I'd love to know more about its origins think its from Kimling a German Name but unsure.

You can try going to RootsWeb and see if there is a mailing list that might be in this family line. Or put in a surname search. I just did and came up with over 7 pages of hits.

I tried the search Rootsweb, GenWeb etc all seem to have the same two people with old emails asking about the name. Its why I thought it might be worth asking here, so far it seems to be an unusual surname but then my maiden name Usher was unusual in the UK unless you live in Newcastle or Edinburgh areas then its like being a Smith
