Cool Performing Missions?

Hi! I've heard of 4-month performing missions (usually in the summer) where "missionaries" go to Nauvoo and participate in church singing/acting/dancing programs. If anyone knows about this, how does one serve such a mission? Also, how old do girls have to be? 18? Still 21? Thanks!

I never heard it called a mission, but honestly thats 80% of what they do if they are not part of the pagent. I think its mostly for Navuoo and Hill Cumorah. I know Manti and Martin Harris has most of the people they need in the area. I have never had anybody "preach" me the gospel at the Martin harris. But last year in Manti we had plenty of the actors before the play come through the crowd and just talk, see where people were from. They kind of talked about there experince being in the play, then if we were members we were asked if we had any friends. These "Missionaries" carried around pass a long cards. Most of these were all Youth (12-16) that talked to us. They all lived in the area. I know one of my friends did go back to New York, but she was like 22 at the time.
But also I think most of this you have to sign up way before now. You might be able to do it next year (2009) but I guess you can always try.
