From England's Guardian newspaper:

"The Church of England said yesterday that police counter-terrorism operations were directed disproportionately against Muslims and risked alienating them."

In other news, a CoE bishop was recently spotted sitting with a shotgun in a duck blind he'd erected in Trafalgar Square. When questioned why, he answered that hunting where the ducks were risked alienating ducks.

Did he actually do that?

It is known that there is an infinite number of worlds, but that not every one is inhabited. Therefore, there must be a finite number of inhabited worlds. Any finite number divided by infinity is as near to nothing as makes no odds, so if every planet in the Universe has a population of zero then the entire population of the Universe must also be zero, and any people you may actually meet from time to time are merely the products of a deranged imagination. ~Douglas Adams, The Original Hitchhiker Radio Script

Not wanting to speak for PD, but I think he forgot to add the obligatory smilie for the benefit of those who don't know better.

Just a little British humor. Smiling would be uncharacteristic and completely undignified!

Yeah, you know, like this --------> or this ------> or this ----> :P It helps those who don't know that you are joking, especially when it isn't obvious.

OK, to clarify:

From England's Guardian newspaper: ( = straight face)

"The Church of England said yesterday that police counter-terrorism operations were directed disproportionately against Muslims and risked alienating them."

In other news, a CoE bishop was recently spotted sitting with a shotgun in a duck blind he'd erected in Trafalgar Square. When questioned why, he answered that hunting where the ducks were risked alienating ducks. :P

I wonder what portion of terrorism that the world is trying to counter is committed by, oh, say, Muslims?
