Default Points

The whole thanks thread below got me thinking. I know a rare thing perhaps, especially if you ask my wife, so avoid the obvious invitation for a sarcastic remark. What are the points for that i see in under my account and how do you obtain them? Are they the fast track to graduating from a junior member to a regular member, perhaps one day even a senior member.

The sarcasm is there. Must be a typically monday morning at work then.

Do you mean Posts?? there aren't points that I know of. The number of posts you make is what your level as a member is gauged by. Hope this helps.

Yeah it helps. I look under my account on the top of the page and under account type is the number of points that I have. Since I wrote the above post it went up one. Since you are a senior member I bet you have a lot more points than I.

They accumulate for a few different things - leaving comments on people's pages, replying to threads, new friends added (i believe). They're popularity points (but shhhh we don't call them that officially).

Yep, then there's the cheaters who appoint themselves to the welcoming committee and send a comment to ANYBODY that joins the site. Not doubting their friendliness, but it sure doesn't hurt their point total!

I believe that adding videos will get you a lot of points.

I think that profile views shows more popularity.

Have you seen how many Elphaba has?

HAHA I know you wrote that just for the fraction of a point you get from it! I was thinking about one liner comments that show up almost automaticly. Anyway, I'm gonna leave this alone, I was kidding and I dont want it to sound harsh.
