I only buy liquid as well. It rinses out better in my opinion.

When I saw the title, I also thought the topic would have something to do with all the grumpy threads going on (e.g. Chinese Olympics).

Re-reading the thread has got me thinking liquid detergents. I'm going to give them a try next time around (my laundry cycle is longer than most, I expect).

This is really a funny thread. I loved Iggy's diaper washing instructions... we got away with disposable diapers but I remember my mom doing that stuff with diapers for my brother.

I have always used the powder tide bc if I ever switched hubby got a rash and I got to deal with hubby. A few weeks ago we stayed up to the cabin and my sister in law had washed the sheets. I called her up to see what she had used bc they smelled so great. She had used liquid tide with the green lid.... guess what I am going to try next?

It is true that our memories are tied to smell. Some are good and so are... not.

I seriously have never thought that there is a difference in what type of detergent you use. I have tried a few different kinds and have never noticed anything but my clothes being clean. Is there really a difference or is it all advertising hoodoo? I typically use liquid stuff, not sure why. I had to start buying my own a couple years ago seeing as I became single. Never put much thought into it though.

I personally like the "smell good" ones. I usually prefer liquid, because it does not tend to leave a residue. But I have discovered that if I use a less amount of the powder variety, they are fine. I will open every choice of detergent and fabric softener before I buy it, usually based on smell.

I love the those brands that make your clothes smell great by fail to get the dirt out.

Yeah....those always make me so glad I spent my money.
