What's the point of having a discussion if I'm not allowed to state what my feelings or definition is? A discussion is showing different points of view. I am stating mine. I would then have to consider the closing of this thread if that is what this is all about. Only YOUR interpretation of what the definition is.

What I feel like is that through your tone, I'd use a B word here - but not appropriate, youre saying "Im right and your wrong".
That's how it's coming across.
The whole point of a debate is to accept someone elses opinion, and to say nicely, your views.
Debate doesnt mean angry arguement.
I'm guilty of this too, but it was not me who started the bickering in this thread.

I have to say that the very tone of the first post in this thread came across as threatening. We should fully expect ourselves as adults to be able to hear others out, even if something appears harsh or one-sided.

Accusation requires elaboration, if one is willing, please.

You're quite right, but we're generally all being harsh in this thread. So we need to kinda 'reset' this conversation.

Mere stating of one's opinion needs no elaboration. I did not accuse, simply stated how it made me feel. I don't wish to cause any ill will, though.

To quote you in the OP:
This is a contention thread, and everyone gets to contend their own thoughts, and it'll probably get a little "heated".

Though the moment someone else states an opinion contrary to your own that person is cut off.

I'm closing this thread. There is no point in further discussion if allowing other's to voice their opinion is not allowed.
